What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching is at the forefront of the exciting paradigm shift which focuses on preventing disease and illness, total body health and getting to the root cause of illness rather than simply treating symptoms. 

Health coaches are not medical professionals, nutritionists, counsellors or therapists. They do not analyse, interpret or diagnose.  They will not simply tell you what you need to do. 

Rather health coaching is a partnership that should result in you building a long-lasting, healthier lifestyle. A health coach will work with you to provide knowledge, skills and confidence to allow you to become an active participant in taking responsibility for your own health. A health coach will help you set and achieve self-identified goals, help you to change your habits; breaking negative unhelpful patterns and behaviours and replacing them with healthy ones that serve your aspirations, and provide support, honesty, accountability and guidance to empower you to live your healthiest life.
